About Kolej Teknologi Darulnaim (KTD)

Kolej Teknologi Darulnaim (KTD) or Darulnaim College of Technology started its operation in 1997 as a subsidiary of Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation (PKINK). A business restructure was carried out in 2003 following a Management Buy Out (MBO) to rejuvenate its operations. As a result, KTD has successfully forged ahead with various new programs and developed close collaborations with local and foreign universities. Students enrollment increased from 197 in 2003 to more than 800 students in 2010. These students come from all over the country and study in various programs offered.

The six-acre campus with the capacity for 3,000 students is located in a strategic and conductive environment of Pengkalan Chepa, a suburb of Kota Bharu, the state capital of Kelantan. It is 12 kilometers from the town centre and 3 kilometers from the Sulten Ismail Petra Airport.

The campus is surrounded by a multitude of Higher Learning Institutions namely Malaysia University of Kelantan (UMK), Kota Bharu Teaching Institute, Asia Pacific Flight Institute, PERKIM training Institute and MARA Junior Science College. It is also located next to the Pengkalan Chepa Industrial Estate where the College can tap its potential for the benefit of its students.

The college differentiates itself from the others by successfully institutionalizing the development of good moral values as an educational philosophy and curriculum. This is designed to realize KTD corporate vision and mission for an integrated education based on obedience to God in producing competent, ethical and professional graduates to fulfill the human resource needs of the nation.
