Jawatan Kosong  Akademi Laut Malaysia - May 2014

Akademi Laut Malaysia or better known as ALAM is a well developed 74 acres campus at the pristine Kuala Linggi, Melaka overlooking the busy Straits of Melaka.
ALAM is committed towards being a recognized leader in regional maritime training excellence. Our specialized education system is one of the most fulfilling in the region. A balance of professional regimentation with a challenging and fun college environment, our system unites classroom instruction, practical training and professional development skills.
ALAM is rapidly becoming a reputable MET institution globally and had guided thousands of young aspirants towards a rewarding and assured maritime future and will continue to propel forward for maritime excellence.

The story of the Academy began in 1977. The need to train and prepare Malaysians for the exciting maritime industry was addressed with the establishment of a non-profit making body called MATES (Malaysian Training and Education for Seamen) Foundation. Consisting of the Malaysian International Shipping Corporation Berhad (MISC) (now known as MISC Berhad), International Shipping Carriers, Hong Kong and the Malaysian Ministry of Transport as their main promoters, the foundation soon pioneered the Maritime Training Centre (MTC) in 1977.
On 15 August 1981, MTC was subsequently upgraded to academy status with the award of a government charter by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia and thus named Akademi Laut Malaysia.
On 1 January 1997, ALAM was privatised to Malaysian Maritime Academy Sdn. Bhd. (MMA), a consortium comprising Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (now MISC Berhad), Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), Penang Shipbuilding and Construction Sdn. Bhd. and Klang Port Management Sdn. Bhd.
ALAM is now a subsidiary of MISC Berhad.
